The Novice - the 10th bow that was built was luck.
After the 100th bow he was experienced.
After the 500th bow he would state that it was his first bow again and again.

The soul of the Bow

Each Bow, each Bow wood carries it´s own individual existence, it´s grown energy , destinyGently whispered through the builder. The builder feels more allianced with his Bow and arrow shot after shot. From the appreciation and solidarity the bow and it´s arrow are accepted as perfect. The misses train the builder to become conscious about his sources. By the refinement and Technology, the increase of the concentration, conscious using of the respiration succeeds putting to protection more energy into the arrow, which finds a maximum of relaxation finally when releasing.

I would like to introduce myself:

I was born in 1962 and I have been married since 1982. I've noticed that since I was a little boy growing up; I've been naturally attracted to the feel of wood and the way it works. I started out working as a carpenter for a few different companies, that is were I learned and gained the knowledge and experience of wood workmanship.
After I received my Masters as woodcraftsman, I finally became self employed.
I've been building bows for over 25 years now.
I started out building the English longbow. It was very difficult at that time to come upon real good bow wood.
Today I have a wide variety of bow wood in storage. The long storage and precise work with the expensive woods are the basis for the fine quality and longevity of the bows. The different types of woods used come from a lasting forestry. I do not use exotic woods. The bows I offer range from a basic design "Self bow", to the difficult to build artistic Bamboo Kyudo Bow. I make sure that the glues that I used are from environmentally safe products. The varnish and oils that I use is a natural plant product. Since 2001, I work have worked mainly with bamboo. I make many bows for different bow plantations in Japan and the USA. The enormous course and pressure strength for the natural materials make the construction possible because the wood would be completely over stressed.
There is a large amount of literature and information on the internet today that makes it possible to have a world wide view of all epochs of the History of the Bow. With this knowledge and years of experience, it makes it possible for me to build the best historic bow using all natural materials.

Bow and Arrow development slowed with the introduction of the firearm, currently though the interest in bow history is resurgent and continues to grow.
