Since
2001 I manufacture also bamboo bows (Milan).
In firing technology, maximum stress and longevity this bow is exceeded
by no other nature bow. With this positive experience I dared myself
now also to the Japanese bow. My first bow seen here shown.
Japanese bow farmer favor "Madake". Bows from "Moso"
are also well-known. In order for the tension and course weight
strength to remain constant for a long time. The quality and execution
of the interior bamboo laminates are responsible. Bamboo is lighter
than wood, thus the mass is inferred, what positively affects the
high-speed strength of the bow later. The warm bow belly decreases
"becomes soft" at summer temperatures.
I traditionally glue the "Jumi" with Haltom. Highest shear
strength, arranging in the water vapor and maximum heatproof quality
with arranging the bow by heating up, reflect here the centuries
long tradition again. Depending upon the draw weight I process 4-5
layers standing bamboo in the interior laminate. For the lateral
wood situations, fine acacia proved very well. The grip taping is
made of deer hide and is available in different colors.
Possible draw weight up to 25kg

If
you should decide for a Kyudo bow, it is important that you have
a certain firing practice. Each new bow must be shot in. Correct
stretching and warming up of the bow are simple to learn and should
be always taken good heed in order so that you can enjoy your bow
as long as possible.
