Bows -> Bamboo Longbow

Bamboo longbow deflex reflex "Milan"

The graceful flight of the Milan stood for me here as a godfather for this beautifulbow. With the natural active substance bamboo in the building of bow are approx. 1200 years used. Under the 1100 kinds of bamboo mainly "Moso" and "Madake" are processed. Course and pressure strength are enormous. Around optimal hardness the stems will attain with approx. 4 years after cut. As outside protection the bamboo stem has only the breath-thin layer of wax. The highly consolidated force fibers which are under it are permanently exposed to the weather. Thereby the very good weather compatibility of the bamboo bow can be explained.
With large heat bamboo becomes only somewhat soft. Particularly valuable for the mediteranen contactors it is added that one can hold with full strength up to approx. 3 seconds.
The type of arch is taken from that old-Egyptian Composite bow. The handle or riser is curved towards the shooter (deflex) and the limb portion is curved in an arc away from the shooter. From this result is less limb movement and maximum tension in the limbs, as well as a smooth drawing ,high performance bow. The bow grips can be built with a small arrow shelf (5mm to the bow center) (after IFAA "long bow modern"). If shooting over the back hand, the bow 12 mm to the bow center , is built without shelf (DFBV wood bow).

Bow Nr. 2
(My recommendation for tournament shooters)
Here the core from 4 hand sorted tempered bamboo strips. Laterally glued with finest acacia . Thus higher arrow speed and improves resetting of the limbs .

Surcharge 110,00 Euro
Bow Nr. 3
The limb core has 11 components, of it is reduced and tapered worked the 8 standing, smoked bamboo strips up to the force fiber. In this finely adjusted limb. The energy is optimally distributed in the limbs for smooth drawing and maximum shot results.
Surcharge 160,00 Euro
Additive to 1, 2, u. 3
Additionally the bow belly is tempered. That softening of the bamboo in the summer heat is optimally minimized, which causes faster firing.

The standing heated fibers essentially decide over the quality of the limbs. No. 2 and No. 3 hold its course and stress over long years.
